What We Believe

The Principles of the Science of Mind Philosophy

WE BELIEVE in God, the Living Spirit Almighty; one, indestructible, absolute and self-existent Cause. This One manifests Itself in and through all creation, but is not absorbed by Its creation. The manifest universe is the body of God; it is the logical and necessary outcome of the infinite self-knowingness of God.

WE BELIEVE in the individualization of the Spirit in us, and that all people are individualizations of the One Spirit.

WE BELIEVE in the eternality, the immortality and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding.

WE BELIEVE that heaven is within us, and that we experience it to the degree that we become conscious of it.

WE BELIEVE the ultimate goal of life to be a complete freedom from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be attained by all.

WE BELIEVE in the unity of all life, and that the highest God and the innermost God is one God. We believe that God is personal to all who feel this indwelling presence.

WE BELIEVE in the direct revelation of truth through our intuitive and spiritual nature, and that anyone may become a revealer of truth who lives in close contact with the indwelling God.

WE BELIEVE that the Universal Spirit, which is God, operates through a Universal Mind, which is the Law of God; and that we are surrounded by this Creative Mind which receives the direct impress of our thought and acts upon it.

WE BELIEVE in the healing of the sick and control of conditions through the power of this Mind.

WE BELIEVE in the eternal Goodness, the eternal Loving-kindness and the eternal Givingness of Life to All.

WE BELIEVE in our own soul, our own spirit and our own destiny; for we understand that the life of all is God.

Yvonne Cottrell

Senior Minister and Chief Inspiration Officer

Yvonne Cottrell, Senior Minister, has been a dedicated student of metaphysical teachings and spiritual science for over 30 years. Yvonne's journey began with an innate curiosity about the nature of existence and a deep desire to understand the principles of universal truth.

Yvonne is passionate about fostering a welcoming and inclusive community. She initiated several outreach programs aimed at supporting local charities and promoting inspirational connections with everyone. Under her leadership, the center has seen significant growth in membership and community involvement.

Linda Kajiwara

Associate Minister

Reverend Linda is passionate about serving others. Her spiritual path led her to the Science of Mind philosophy. She has been a professional spiritual practitioner since 2005 and an ordained minister since 2010. Reverend Linda graciously continues to serve here at Kalispell CSL and she enjoys joining her spiritual roots at the Center for Spiritual Living in Alaska.

Spiritual Practice

Spiritual practice is the process of personal evolution

As we cultivate ourselves, focus attention upon the expansion of our awareness and compassion, we begin to create the higher vision of ourselves and through intention to live up to this. Through Spiritual Practices we are able to transform our thinking and consequently our hearts which opens the flow of the divine into our lives and unlimited grace/blessings flow.

The lotus flower has become a symbol for awakening to the spiritual reality of life. As the lotus flower grows up from the mud into an object of great beauty, people also grow and change into something more beautiful!

That which grows the flower, whether you call it God, Spirit, Christ-consciousness, we believe is a Creative Intelligence, and all that it wants from you is the opportunity to express itself! And you are that opportunity! It does that by awakening in you, moving through you, expressing its inspiration as you!
